Enjoy a leisurely paddle session with friends and family before indulging in delicious food and drink at the traditional English pub, The Jolly Sailor.
There's something special about spending time on the water with loved ones; topped off with a hearty meal at a pretty, waterside pub.
Our unique location on the River Hamble at Premier Marinas Swanwick means that we are located a short paddle (approximately 0.5 miles) away from the picturesque and popular pub, The Jolly Sailor.
When planning your visit to The Paddle Centre, you could make the most of your hire session by combining a visit to The Jolly Sailor. Start your experience by parking for free in our dedicated car park; collect your pre-booked stand up paddle board, kayak or double kayak and receive a safety briefing by our expert team before setting off up the river to the pub for lunch or dinner.
On arrival at the pub, simply moor up on the pub's dedicated pontoon and find a host to seat you at your pre-booked table. Choose from a wide selection of delicious food and drink before making your way back to The Paddle Centre.
We recommend allowing for a minimum of two hours for your hire session so that you can enjoy a leisurely paddle and meal. It is £15 per person per hour to hire a stand up paddle board or single kayak from The Paddle Centre and £25 per hour to hire a double kayak. Your hire includes all the paddling equipment you need to take to the water (paddle boards/kayaks, paddles and buoyancy aids). Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. The age limit for SUP and a single kayak is 12 years and a double kayak is 8 years. Why not ask us about a guided paddle to the pub accompanied by our experienced instructors who will provide tuition along the way? Please bear in mind that there will be additional charge for this service.
We highly recommend pre-booking The Jolly Sailor in advance and letting them know that you intend to arrive via the River. If you have any questions about paddling to the pub, please do not hesitate to speak to a member of our team who would be very happy to help you plan your journey based on the states of tide to ensure that you are able to access the pontoon.
